Jack's Bruise

Last week I was in the kitchen washing dishes and heard a giant thud, thud, thud, thud, and then very loud crying. Can you guess who it was?

Well, we have a gate at the bottom of the stairs, because otherwise Anna would be climbing up and falling down them every chance she gets. Jack likes to pull the gate down a bit so the bottom is still attached to the wall and this creates something like a "trap door" to him. He also likes to just climb over it and play on it. He was trying to climb up over it this time and fell forward hitting his head on the 6th or 7th step and then "thudding" down steps 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1. He landed with his head between the gate and the stairs. Only Jack!

He fell asleep one afternoon on the couch. Not only is this an adorable picture, but here you can almost see the awful bruise he was left with (if you double click on the pictures to make them bigger you might be able to see it, they look pretty dark now that I have them up here!)
