We visited
McDougal Orchards last week for Jack's first field trip with his Preschool class. He gamely boarded the tractor pulled wagon and sat gingerly on the prickly bales of hay. He really liked the ride and asked again and again to ride the tractor one more time. Of course he ran down the rows of all the different apple trees, but then he did settle down to fill his bag. He took his job seriously, and really listened to the owner instructing the kids to "turn the apple to the sky and twist."

Jack set his apple down for a second and Anna snatched it right up. She has 6 teeth (four on top, two on bottom) with a third on the bottom coming up right now. She got some good chunks in her mouth and did not want to let go of that apple!

Once he filled his bag he made a beeline for the apple crate maze. He did that about 15 times before I was able to steer him away toward the animals. It was so warm it felt like July!
