Jack has been "reading" for a while now, lots of sight words, etc. He says things like, "Hey Mom! There's PAT'S PIZZA!" Very..... handy. And a great idea that his teacher does in the classroom is to post a "password" at the door. Each time the kids exit the classroom they touch the "password" which is a sight word like, is, the, and, at, etc. And they definitely remind anyone who forgets to touch the password... ahem... even adults volunteering! But, the other night Jack read his first book, front to back all by himself. He was pretty happy with himself and is very excited to practice this new skill. He read the first sentence of a "real chapter book" the other day, "Secrets of Droon," and quickly realized that there is a big difference between chapter books and Mo Willems' books!

I would post more pictures of Anna, but she's usually naked 95% of the time and that wouldn't be right to post those! There are (mostly) indecent pictures of Anna deep in her animal/imagination world right now. She loves to carry around "puppy," "pink puppy/Genevieve (from Madeline)," and "Mama Katie Bear." They go everywhere with her and she is constantly making beds and tents and pillows for them. You'll just have to trust me that that is what Anna has been up to!
