In addition to a soggy basement, the rain brings a considerable case of cabin fever around here. Jack loves being outside. He loves to wander and explore and run and dig and point to birds in the neighbors yards. And run into the neighbors yards. And pick up the little flags stuck in the neighbors yards.
ANYway. It's been really rainy here. Days in a row. So yesterday I thought, well maybe it's just wet. We can still go for a walk... unfortunately it wasn't just wet. It was raining. That misty annoying rain that makes everything soggy and moist. So I got out my trusty dishpan, filled it with water and a little "buh-bul" mixture and set it on the kitchen floor on top of a big beach towel.
Jack had a blast. He filled and emptied cups for about an hour. In toddler time, that's a long time!
I realized it was time to pick up when he began slumping over into the water. Nothing like tiring a toddler out!
